ieDiscoveries is now MHK Play Studio, grand reopening set for September 1

Owner and founder Kasey Wilkinson recognizes opportunities for growth, expanded offerings to serve the community

ieDiscoveries is now MHK Play Studio, Manhattan’s premier destination for community, connection and creativity. The grand reopening event takes place 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1  at 910 Commons Pl. to recognize the organization’s third year in business and celebrate its new name and location. The public is invited to attend to enjoy play-based activities, free snacks and giveaways, and to receive unique discounts. 

“We’ve grown so much these past three years,” said MHK Play Studio owner and founder, Kasey Wilkinson. “Securing the building that formerly housed Vikings Grille was the perfect opportunity to reenvision how we serve the Manhattan community.”

In addition to open-ended play opportunities, MHK Play Studio offers educational classes and events involving sensory play, engineering exploration, art and nature, and more. A new feature, the Sip+Snack, is a gathering place where guests can enjoy craft sodas and locally-sourced snacks. Guests can reserve private events such as birthday parties complete with ice cream and play-based activities. Business leaders and teams can book team-building experiences tailored to their goals and needs. Visitors can shop at the Curate space, a highly-curated boutique featuring unique gifts for kids, moms and more.

"Kasey has created a much-needed space that the Manhattan community truly benefits from," said Jamie Bosse, children's author, founder of Money Boss Mom and Manhattan community leader. "It's a fun, creative learning center that keeps my kids entertained for hours! I look forward to the amazing new things that will come from this expanded environment and service offerings."
